September 1, 2010

Apple coverage quickly shifted today from the company’s first-ever keynote live stream (the screenshot above was captured on an iPad), to its brand new music products, including a $49 iPod shuffle, $149 touch-screen iPod nano, and an updated iPod touch, which matches many of the iPhone 4′s features — such as FaceTime and Retina display — without mobile phone functionality (and an AT&T contract) for $229. Also announced were an updated version of iTunes that adds social networking functionality, iOS 4.2 for the iPad (coming in November), and iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod touch. Check out Apple’s website for a complete rundown of new products.
