Apple Unveils New iPods, iTunes, Apple TV
Apple coverage quickly shifted today from the company’s first-ever keynote live stream (the screenshot above was captured on an iPad), to its brand new music products, including a $49 iPod shuffle, $149 touch-screen iPod nano, and an updated iPod touch, which matches many of the iPhone 4′s features — such as FaceTime and Retina display — without mobile phone functionality (and an AT&T contract) for $229. Also announced were an updated version of iTunes that adds social networking functionality, iOS 4.2 for the iPad (coming in November), and iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod touch.
