Exclusive Photos: World Trade Center Complex
I’m going to throw this under the “Travel” category, even though the only travel involved was a three-block walk and an elevator ride to the 58th floor of the W New York-Downtown Residences. One of the perks of working in real estate is that I have access to many of the city’s residential buildings — and their roof decks. My third tour of the new W New York-Downtown Hotel and Residences this afternoon included a hardhat-equipped trip to the 58th-floor rooftop garden, which is very much still under construction. While the rooftop isn’t much to look at in its current state, it does provide an unobstructed overhead view of the World Trade Center site, including the impressive National September 11 Memorial & Museum waterfalls.
Check out a photo of One World Trade Center, and an awesome view of Midtown from the W, after the break.
The rooftop also offers some pretty killer views of Midtown, though it’s possible that the view may become obstructed by the 1,270-foot Two World Trade Center tower.
